2021 Outdoor Track: Eagles Landing Chick-Fil-A Breakdown

The 2021 Eagle's Landing Chick-Fil-A Invitational was the largest high school meet of week 5 this outdoor track season. MileSplit Georgia was onsite shooting over 4000 pics and a total of 78 full race videos. The weather was ideal for mid-March and it showed in the athlete's efforts as 12 MileSplit 2nd team Elite performances were achieved. Chapel Hill's girls were team champs led by Derica Price, Ariel Moore, and Ariel Johnson on the track with Kassidy-Amerson-Fox sweeping the throws, and Malahne Walker taking the Pole Vault. Richmond Hill's had an enjoyable ride back to far east Georgia as their boy's squad won the team title with their girls third. Jasai Taylor won the 300 hurdles while placing 2nd in the 400m dash. Corey Adamski scored 12 points in the 3200/800 combo, and Evan Clark won the LJ and picked up 2nd in the TJ.


Pace Academy's girls got the day underway winning the 4x800 relay in 10:05


Pace's boys displayed their distance strength taking the 4x800 win at 8:36.


Derica Price anchored Chapel Hill's girls to the 4x100 relay win in 48.89


Chapel Hill's boys made it a program sweep of the 4x100 clocking a sweet 41.89



Simone Rojas of Evans swept the 1600/3200m races in times of 5:13/11:17


Edward Blaha won the 1600m posting a 4:19, with Jonathan Greene in tow.


Jonathan Greene of Evans cruised to the 3200m win going 9:28.


Sade Winslow of Dutchtown held strong winning the 400m dash in 1:00.39


Derica Price of Chapel Hill raced to the 100m win clocking a time of 12.03, teammate Ariel Moore was 2nd. 


John Catherman of Pace swept the short sprints in times of 10.78/21.88


Ariel Johnson of Chapel Hill (c) took the 100h at 15.49. Shakiera Woods of KIPP took 2nd, but later won the 300h in a time of 48.19.


Malik Smith of Dutchtown easily won the 110h at 15.10


Pace swept the top 2 places in the 800m run as Laura Ronig took the win at 2:29 with Hannah Vincent close behind in 2:30


Thaddee Barge of Clarkston took the 800m win in 1:58.93


Jasai Taylor of Richmond Hill won the 300h posting a 39.62 after placing 2nd in the 400m dash.


Dutchtown HS held off Pace Academy to win the 4x400 relay in 3:32.12


Chapel Hill's girls could be winning a few more team trophies this season.


Richmond Hill's program just keeps improving as they won the boys crown.
