GHSA Meeting With GA Dept. Of Health Commissioner Wednesday

This is nothing to be alarmed about for xc, but the Georgia Department of Public Health commissioner has concerns about fall sports as she will meet Wednesday when executive director Robin Hines has his weekly meeting with his sports-medicine advisory committee. The Health Commissioner.  Dr. Kathleen Toomey,  told superintendents Friday on a Zoom call that she was concerned about the COVID-19 risks involved. It mainly seems to be focused on football and competition cheer (and band) As far as NCAA sports go, the next major COVID-19-related college sports news could come Tuesday, Aug. 4, when the NCAA Board of Governors meets.
