What were some of the highlights/honors you achieved in your high school Track career?

Winning the 100m at the Henry County Championships 11th grade year and making it to state for the first time my 10th grade year.

Have you played any other sports for Eagle's Landing HS or when younger? If so, tell us how you did in them

When I was younger I was a competitive gymnast and dancer. During my 10th and 11th grade years, I was a competition cheerleader for my school. In my 11th-grade year, we made it to the state competition.

When did you begin to love/focus on Track and Field?

During the 8th grade, I began seeing crazy progress. That was the beginning of me taking track more seriously.

Did you encounter any injuries, struggles, or adversity along the way that you had to overcome?

Though I have never had a serious injury before, I have had to overcome mental blocks and anxiety through the years.

What did you enjoy most about competing in Track and Field competition, and what was the best thing about being a part of Eagle's Landing's program?

I enjoyed the opportunity of becoming a leader.

Are there any coaches or teammates that you've worked with over the past four years or longer that helped motivate and inspire yourself, you'd like to thank?

My school coaches Coach Spinks and Coach Sante helped me balance life on and off the track. My club coach, Coach Rossum of ATL Zoom, helped me become a more competitive runner.

Its been tough for everyone since March 12th when the GHSA closed Spring Sports down. How have you coping with COVID-19 and what have you done to stay in shape these past 6 weeks?

It was hard for me in the beginning considering how hard I worked to get to where I was. Eventually, I went back to conditioning to maintain some sort of shape.

Where will you be attending college this coming fall and how excited are you to be part of that track program?

I will be attending Texas A&M in the fall. I am so excited to be able to train with some of the best athletes in the country, and also work with some great athletes.

Your father has been a major contributor to MileSplit Georgia the past 3 years, what are your feelings about that?

I think it's great he gets to do what he loves while also being able to be at the meets supporting me.

What advice would you give to a younger athlete like in Middle School, who's hoping to have a successful and enjoyable high school career?

To the younger athletes, my main piece of advice is working on your mentality. This sport is 90% mental, and once you have that part down the rest will follow.
