GHSA Passes Several Proposals For Outdoor Track

Some big wins for the 2021outdoor season as the GHSA passed proposals changing event limits for individual athletes aligning us with 43 or more other state associations who follow the NFHS guidelines. See copy below which also included the approval of the 4x800 relay as a scored event at region and state, and phasing the 4x200 relay in beginning in 2022. There was a disappointing outcome though for XC as all Area qualifiers for the state meet will be eliminated. Loss of Area's for XC state qualifying in 7A was a big loss. A few BIG steps forward but, another step back. 71% of 7A schools will now make the state meet. GREAT job to those who presented!
