A man of very little words and one that let his running do the talking, senior Joe Pick was a triple-sport athlete at Milton with his 4 years of running cross country & track & 4 years on the swim team. Joe was a contributor to all those teams straight from his freshman year and was a vital part of their varsity squads for more than half of his career. Joe finished his track career on a low note dealing with a foot injury before his season was cut short but did manage to get in two races at the Milton Showcase meet just 6 weeks ago.

He leaves the track program with PR's of 2:09/4:51/10:43 for the 800/Mile/2Mile events and a consistent varsity scorer. Joe was a four-year member of the swim team and did many different individual events and competed on many relay teams. In cross country, Joe served as team captain this past fall season and ran anywhere from the team's 3rd to 5th runner on the varsity squad. Joe was a member of two state-qualifying teams where he helped Milton to a 6th & 12th place team finish at the state meet the past 2 seasons.

Joe followed in the footsteps of his sisters, one of which was a multiple school record holder in swimming and the other a four-year athlete on both the track & cross country teams. Joe also earned 12-varsity letters, 4 each in all 3 sports a feat not matched by many Milton High student-athletes EVER!

Joe will be heading to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN to study aerospace engineering. Thank you, Joe, for your dedication and superior leadership and being such a good mentor to the younger athletes on ALL 3 sports teams while at Milton High School.
