What were some of the highlights of your high school track career?

Some highlights of my high school career were winning the State Championships my freshman year, winning Rookie of the Year, winning MVP my junior year, and dropping my 100m time to 11.70.

Did you encounter any struggles or adversity along the way that you had to overcome?

My biggest struggle was getting hurt my sophomore year and not performing the way I wanted.

Aside from the competition, what was the best thing about being a part of your school's program?

The best thing about being a part of my high school's program was the coaches and the friendships I forged.

Are there any coaches or teammates that you've worked with over the past four years that you'd like to thank?

I would like to thank Coach Wilson, Coach Cage, Coach Watson & the rest of the Westlake Track & Field Coaching Staf.

How are you coping with COVID-19 and the looming possibility that your HS track career might very well be over?

I am still training as if my track season is in full swing. I will continue training to be ready whenever it is back.

What are your plans and goals for the future? Do you intend on continuing with the sport in college or in another capacity?

I plan to run in college at Southern Miss and obtain several NCAA titles. My ultimate goal is to turn pro and make the Olympic team.

What advice would you give to a younger athlete who's hoping to have a successful and enjoyable high school career?

I would say always stay hydrated and do abs. Never give up even on the hardest days and always stay true to yourself.
