The North Hall Invite celebrates a new beginning in Northeast Georgia! The 'freight train of pain' opens up their new course at the North Hall Community Center to 1000 runners for its inaugural race. Meet Director Sam Borg and his volunteers put on great events as we see at Unicoi State Park every year.
The course is very spectator friendly and opens with a fast dirt track mile around a beautiful meadow field. Runners then get a good test with a hilly woods section that goes .55 miles before doing another meadow loop and another woods loop. Coaches and fans get to see start, finish, mile mark, and 2M mark from the middle of the field.
The boys race features 4 teams (Jefferson, North Hall, Dawson, Hart) ranked in the top 7 of 3A as well as state title contenders Andrew Jones (North Hall), Riley Thornton and Matthew Schroeder (Jefferson), Ben McGinnis and Collin Kilgore (Dawson), and Matthew Brown and Samuel Garringer (Hart). The girls race is also a great one, with Jefferson's Caitlin Schroeder and Katherine Law, and North Hall's Caylee Wagner already under 20 minutes early in the season. Jefferson and White County girls could have a nice team battle going for 1st place trophy.
