While injuries have dampened Herron's hopes over the last year and a half, he was truly transformative across his career and made the rare decision to compete outside his high school state association in his junior season. And there were few athletes who were better over his run. He scored outdoor PRs of 20.93 in the 200m and 46.07 in the 400m outdoors and 20.95/46.31 indoors, culminating his junior indoor campaign with a MileSplit50 win. He's headed off to the University of Southern California.
