7A Boys 1600- Kyle Harkabus 'Sharkabus' defended his 2018 1600m title taking the Gold clocking a time of 4:16.44, Jack Rhodes of Roswell had a strong race stealing the runnerup spot at 4:18.35, Myles Collins of Archer placed 3rd at 4:19.14 and Kamari Miller of Marietta took 4th in 4:21.07
7A Girls 1600- It was quite a battle up front with 3 girls going sub 5:00 Brynne Sumner of Woodstock came out on top with the fastest time at the State meets in 4:53.45, Ellie Hall picked up big team points for Marietta placing 2nd, Madelynne Cadeau of South Forsyth placed 3rd with a 4:58 and Abigail Robertson of Walton took 4th at 5:02.39

AIS swept the top 2 spots led by Frosh Cara Joyce at 4:57.90 with Reagan Mahoney close behind in 5:00.99, Jackie Addy of Holy Innocents scored a Bronze medal with a time of 5:02.67 and 3200 champ Erin Fegans of Landmark took 4th place at 5:06.73
A Private Boys 1600- Another great race here as Zack Truitt of Landmark Christian had a stellar performance striking Gold with a pr time of 4:17.25, 3200 champ Graham Blanks of Athens Academy raced to 2nd posting a 4:20.02, Devin Wade of Whitefield was close behind at 4:21.41 and Kameron Jackson of Landmark placed 4th in 4:25.33

5A Girls 3200m- The girls 3200 in 5A was Mackenzie Walls of Veterans best event and she had quite a race taking the Gold in 10:55.90 XC Champ McKenna Trapheagen of Woodland was runnerup at 11:11.65, Gabby Parsons of Union Grove held on to 3rd place going 11:33.95 with Rylee Evans of Woodland settling for 4th at 11:34.10
5A Boys 3200m- It was a 2 man race upfront and Zach Jaeger of McIntosh swept the distance events taking the win in the 3200 at 9:20.26, with Nick Nyman of Starrs Mill getting his 2nd Silver medal of the meet in 9:27.94, Athanasius Tesfaye of Loganville claimed the Bronze with a time of 9:47.90 and William Ponder from Walnut Grove took 4th at 9:48.60

Boys 1600m- A great race and mutch watch on video, Wesley John from Oconee County had a great race pulling a mild upset over favored Justin Wachtel of Mary Persons. John 's winning time was 4:18.21 barely nipping Karthik Kochuparambil of Denmark HS at 4:18.75, Wachtel claimed 3rd at 4:20.66 just ahead of Leif Andersen of Marist a neck back in 4:20.81
Girls 3200m- 4A Girls 3200m- A very close race as 3 girls were in it down the stretch. Hannah Miniutti of Blessed Trinity was triumphant in a winning time of 11:09.87, Maggie Yankovich of St. Pius X raced to Silver in 11:12.35, Kathleen Maley of Marist came across 3rd at 11:13.22 with Sara Bailey of Blessed Trinity 4th in 11:24.30

That made this race up for grabs and Kaylee Bandy of Coahulla Creek raced thru that window to the title posting a 11:36.16, Katherine Law of Jefferson placed 2nd at 11:44, Frankie Muldoon from Dawson County took 3rd in 11:46 and Payton Payne of Pace Academy was 4th place at 11:54

He just held off a challenge by JJ Morris from Commerce who crossed right behind at 4:48.49, Demarco Hernandez clinched 3rd in 4:54.08 helping Commerce to 14 team points and 3200 champ Jake Lee of Gordon Lee was 4th at 4:56.33
