Georgia HS Track and Field greatness occurred this past weekend at Throw1deep's Southern Challenge #2 as Tanner Duffin from St. Pius X HS went very deep in the Shot and Discus. First, Duffin went 70+ in the Shot Put with a heave of 70-2.50, he followed that up with a bomb of 202-0 in the Discus... This is very rare territory indeed, but will not count in the Georgia All-Time lists as it wasn't a 'prep' event. Nonetheless, Tanner did accomplish those performances at Throw1deep Field, landing with the best Shot Put mark in known GA HS history ahead of Davis Fraker (the Frake Train) of McIntosh HS at 68-06 and 2nd best Discus mark recorded behind Hiawatha Berry from Winder-Barrow HS back in 1985.
