What do you like about track and field?

I like the competition, and the experience when running.

What do you give up (sacrifice) too run track?

A lot of free time and some after school activities.

What is your preparation to get ready for competition?

The night before I get my mind ready and jog around to shake legs out the day of a meet.

What qualities or things do you gain from running track?

A lot of speed which helps me in my other sports.

Who inspires you and why?

Usain Bolt... he's the world's fastest man.  I want to run faster than him.

How do you celebrate after a great win?

Go out to eat or parents may give me money to buy something I like.

Can you remember your first race?  What was the experience like?  Did you know you were good?

I remember it was the 100m but can't remember how I felt.  It was a long time ago.

What do you like to do for fun?

Hang out with friends on the weekends, playing video games and going to Dave & Busters

What's one word that describes you?

Determined

What's your favorite song to listen to before a race?

Started from the bottom and Win, Win, Win

What is your most memorable track experience?

Two moments stick out to me.  400 for the first time - completely died out and have learned how to handle the race much better.  The other is my first time going to the Junior Olympics.

What are your goals or expectations for this year's meet?

I'd like to perform well.  Our team has the Metro 10 championships before the state meet and I would like for us to win as a team again.  Then focus on state.
