AAA Girls

In a race with 4 legit front runners battling for the individual title, Trinity Christian Dublin owned the field, scoring 49 points for a 22 point margin of victory. 2 of those leaders were Crusaders, including Karmen LeRoy (who was involved in a photo finish) was individual runnerup in 19:39 and 8th grader Ansley Long (fresh off her MS Small School state title 2 weeks back) who raced to 4th going 19:44. Ashley Wood of The Heritage School hung tough and held off 3 strong challengers to claim the AAA Girls Overall title clocking a 19:32. Host school Augusta Prep placed 2nd as a team with 2 gals in the top 10, including Molly Joseph who settled for 3rd (photo finish) in 19:39 and Jamie Holodak took 5th overall at 19:57. 2015 Champ Deerfield-Windsor came in 3rd place as a team.

Trinity Christian 8th grader Ansley Long proved she can do well at the 5K distance taking 4th.

Top 10 AAA Girls Individuals

Trinity Christian Dublin was giddy after winning the team title.

Augusta Prep ran well on their home turf and were Team Runnerups.

AA Girls

Brentwood repeated as AA Girls Champs, as this Fall 5 schools actually scored as a team compared to 3 in 2015. But, it wasn't as easy as last Fall, as the Eagles took a narrow 2 point win over a game St. George's Episcopal squad. Michael Anne Hood raced to the Invidual title for Brentwood posting a winning time of 21:52. Also top 10 for them was Erica Kay back in 8th place. Milz Cain was the top harrier for St. George's placing 7th overall at 23:37. Rounding out the top 5 Individuals were: Alden Lisse of Highland Christian (2nd-21:57), Valerie Haim of Brandon Hall (3rd-23:19), Gabrielle Mann from Citizen's Christian (4th- 23:21) and Taylor Corsa of Citizen's Christian (5th-23:26)

Michael Ann Hood of Brentwood was AA Girls Overall Champ.

Alden Lisse from Highland Christian finished strong to take Runnerup.

Valerie Haim of Brandon Hall was 3rd Overall.

Gabriell Mann from Citizen's Christian placed 4th Overall.

Top 10 AA Girls Individuals

Brentwood was all smiles after winning the AA Girls Team title.

St. George's Episcopal came within 1 passed runner of tying Brentwood.

AAA Boys

Jacob McLeod as predicted ran away with the individual race posting a 15:45, followed by his team mates Quillian Holland in 2nd at 16:31 and Landon Logue 3rd in 16:47. But, it takes a tighter 1-5 to wun state titles, and Deerfield-Windsor had a much tighter group, resulting in 61 points and the team title. Ethan Merritt moved up a few spots during the race taking 4th overall in 17:12 to lead the Knight's charge. Also top 10 was frosh Porter Hill placing 7th in 17:20. Trinity Christian Sharpsburg ran to 2nd as a team led by Hans Troyer's 5th place effort of 17:12.44 and Jacob Richardson's 10th place finish of 17:51. Augusta Prep, was only 4 points back and had the tightest pack, paying off for 3rd place, led by Jack Collier in 12th (18:01) and David Chen 13th (18:06)


Jacob McLeod took control early enroute to a 15:45 and the AAA title.

Quillian Holland had a fine race placing 2nd overall for Trinity Christian Dublin.

Landon Logue made it a sweep of the top 3 spots for the Crusaders.

Ethan Merritt worked his way up to 4th leading the Knights to the team title.

Top 10 Individual Boys

AAA Boys State Champ Deerfield-Windsor Knights from Albany.

Trinity Christian Sharpsburg seized opportunity taking 2nd place in AAA.

AA Boys

On paper, Fugees Academy from Clarkston looked very strong and they backed it winning the AA Boys title easily by 47 points. A few of these guys had to be on GHSA AAAAAA Clarkston's radar..Aseli Adum ran alone, winning without any challenge by over a minute clocking a 16:59 taking the Individual title. Joseph Minani of Fugees, passed a runner just before the finish line to claim 2nd place at 17:59.55. Sam Potter of St. George's Episcopal was 3rd place at 17:59.81. The Cottage School had 2 runners in the the top 10 and took 2nd place as a team. Andrew DesRoches was 6th and George Barham 10th. Monsignor Donovan finished 3rd in the team standings led by the 5th place effort of freshman Will Auslander.

Aseli Adum of Fugees Academy ran away with the AA Boys Individual title going 16:59.

Joseph Minani eyes the finish line before charging in for 2nd place.

Sam Potter did his best to hold off the speedy Minani behind him.

Bill Lester of Briarwood finished 4th individually.
