Pittman and Leif Andersen Sweep Top 2 Places for Marist in the 3200

4A- This was an outstanding strategic race as 8 runners finished within :10 of each other. Frank Pittman in his final GHSA race maintained control of the race and won another Gold for Marist clocking a 9:23.87. What was symbolic is this race may have signaled the passing of the War Eagle distance torch down to freshman Leif Andersen as he had a great race seizing the Silver medal posting a 9:26.11 nipping Sean Parker from Pickens County back at 9:27.01. Thomas Moore closed out his career for North Oconee placing 4th at 9:30.00
