Georgia Military Prep Marches to 3rd Consecutive A Public Title

Georgia Miltary Prep left no doubts Saturday they have the Top Track and Field program in A Public. I'm sure these gals march their keister's off at school, but dang can they run & jump! Have to mention, my son get's his Commission next Tuesday up in Maryland! The Lady Cadets blitzkrieged the field Saturday, amassing the highest point point total All-Classes and margin of victory scoring 115 points winning by 51 over runnerup Telfair County. Calli McMullen was definitely the top athlete in A as she won 4 Golds and a Silver. Calli cruised to an easy win in the 400m at 57.37, won the HJ clearing 5-0, took 2nd in the 200m, and was a leg on both Gold Medal winning relay squads.

Abigail Kirkland also had a great meet winning the 300h clocking a 46.17, taking 5th in the 100m, 4th in the TJ and also ran on both relay squads. Also scoring big points were Allie Kauzlarich scored a set of Silvers in the 800 & 1600, Emma Mercer was 3rd in the 3200m, Taylor Scott leaped for 3rd in the HJ, Mary Elizabeth Jones was 3rd in the Discus and the 'B' 4x400 squad took 4th.

Telfair County fought their way to 2nd as a team scoring 64 points. Brandy Mackey won the 200m dash clocking a 25.33, leaped 18-1 taking Gold in the LJ and placed 3rd in the 100m as well as being a leg on both relay squads that earned 2 Bronze medals. Nyasia Howard won Gold in the TJ bounding to 35-7.50 and placed 2nd in the LJ @ 17-1.50 and Aneshia Hardee took 5th in the 1600m.

Elite Scholars was 3rd Overall only 2 points behind Telfair. Leading ESA were Edrei Yates who won 4 Silver medals, including 2nd in the 100m at 12.26 and in the TJ with a mark of 35-3 and being a leg on both relay squads. Jahlian Borden scored Silver in the 400m, Taleya Liddell won a Bronze in the 300h, Nichole Slocumb was 4th in the 3200m.

Commerce took the final Team Podium spot thanks to Kate Massey doubling in the 1600 (5:35) and 3200 (12:09) and Anna Hardy won Gold in the Vault. Sydney McClure tied for 4th in the HJ and the 4x400 squad placed 5th.
