There haven't been many meets in recent history that 2A Girls hasn't been decided in the last events (300h & 4x400) and this season looks no different. In a Virtual Meet based on Region performances, GAC, Wesleyan and Lovett are separated by 3 points. I'm not sure if everyone made it thru Sectionals who scored (in the Virtual meet) but it should be just as close. If it comes down to the 4x400, Wesleyan and GAC will have an advantage over Lovett who Q'd 6th at Sectionals in that event.
GAC's strengths lie in the Hurdles, Sprints and Relays led by Nia Brown, Jada Jones and Stephanie Reynolds. How Abby Kettle performs in the 1600/3200 will be key. Wesleyan's strength is they many have athletes who can score points in events across the board (with no elite athletes) and their Relay teams. Lovett has the most Elite athletes, who can score big points, including Victoria Powell, Nicole Teague and NIKE XC Finalist Serena Tripodi. Battling it out for the final team Podium spot should be Jeff Davis, Holy Innocents and Washington-Wilkes.
Other can't miss athletes to watch are SVA's Taylor DeLoach who will try for another triple this weekend, Chelsea Zoller of Holy Innocents in the 300h and 400m, Madelyn Lee of Gordon Lee in both Throws events and Bremen's Kaylee Riley in the Vault
