On the re-routed trail, Mill Creek took advantage of Northview being down a top 5 runner and seized the opportunity to win the Girls 6A title, besting South Forsyth by 6 points. The Champion Hawks placed 2 girls in the top 10 including Sr Hannah Petit, 5th in 19:40, and Camryn Petit, 7th in 19:43. It's the first Girls State title for the hungry Hawks.

Lindsay Billings of Northview took a different approach against her leading competitors and, in the early stages of the race, took off and vanished, decisively winning the 6A Girls Overall title in 18:02, on the alternate route. (Keep in mind, 1A Private thru 5A had to run the 'Separation Slope' route, as meet officials decided only after 2A Girls to use the alternate route. The infamous hill was becoming unsafe to traverse with the deteriorating conditions.)
South Forsyth ended their campaign with a strong 2nd, led by Savannah Carnahan and her runnerup finish in 18:52 and Kaylee Dupont, 3rd at 19:17. Northview's 1-4 ran well, placing 3rd as a team led first by Billings and next by Tiffany Yue with her 8th place finish in 19:45. Milton hung tough 11 points back, sealing the final Podium spot, led by Marie Repasy and her 6th place effort of 19:43.
Filling out the 6A All-State squad not mentioned above were: Sr Yanely Gomez from Grayson, 4th (19:38), Kenedi Rodney of Dacula, who Q'd individually and made the most out of the opportunity by placing 9th (19:45), and Brynne Sumner of Woodstock, who was the top Frosh in 6A, going 19:49.
