Editor's Comments
Here are the Pre-State 1-A Private Girls Rankings heading into State and there was alotta' Moving and Shakin' going on. Landmark Christian ate up the Heritage Christian course with a 19:12 team average. I saw them run and the Eagles look about 90% healthwise, which is more than enough to dominate on 11-7. The Girls region meet at 8-A determined the next 3 spots as Hebron Christian will have their work cut out for them to compete with Landmark. Athens Academy took 2nd at 8-A without the services of Anna Marian Block which is scary. With Block, the Lady Sparties may push Hebron 11-7. AIS ran very well at 5-A taking 2nd, and a showdown is looming Saturday between Helen Williams (18:02) and Acad's Block. Paideia ran fairly well at 5-A moving up 3 spots to 6th. Mount Paran beat Mount Pisgah at 6A and Mount De Sales is back in the top 10. There alot of 'Watch List' squads that will have a chance to crack the top 10 Saturday.
