Archer's James Cragin flirts with the lead early at 8-AAAAAA

Varsity Boys Team - I wonder why..but Brookwood ran lights out Saturday scoring 21 points with their top 7 dominating the race with a 1-5 Split of :58 & team avg. of 16:32...Do the Broncos have something in store for Marietta next Saturday as Coach Dehnke's squads always seem to peak at State? Parkview was solidly 2nd, Grayson 3rd and Coach McCartney's Archer squad easily punched their ticket for Carrollton in 4th.

Brookwood's Gruem Tesfamarium takes the lead

Varsity Boys Individual- Not sure what their plan was, but Zach Israel and Gruem Tesfamarium crossed the finish line in unison sweeping the top 2 spots both going 16:11.

Zach Israel and Tesfamarium have been the driving force for the Broncs' this Fall.

Central Gwinnett's Axel Avalos had a great race Q'ing Individually taking 3rd Overall at 16:18. Patrick Smith continued the Bronco rodeo in 4th posting a 16:25. Parkview's 2nd place team effort was sparked by Christian Corsello's 16:35 back in 5th place. James Cragin led Archer to State taking 6th Overall in 16:42.

Varsity Girls Team- Brookwood had too much depth for the 8-AAAAAA field winning by 23 points over crosstown rival Parkview. It was an incredible scrum for the final 2 team spots as 6 points separated 3 teams with Archer's tighter pack (1-5 Split of :47) taking 3rd, with Grayson 2 points back taking 4th, leaving Dacula at home next week.

Yanely Gomez from Grayson, leads Lauren Flynt of Brookwood.

Varsity Girls Individual- The battle for the Individual title was very tight, but Yanely Gomez, having been a bridesmaid many meets this Fall, caught the bouquet Saturday, and ran with it all the way to the finish, winning the Overall title in 19:06 which was crucial for the Rams moving onto Carrollton. Lauren Flynt of Brookwood was steady as ever placing 2nd in 19:22. Melody Weiler from Parkview took 3rd Overall at 19:25. Kenedi Rodney of Dacula found redemption Q'ing for State as an Individual in 4th (19:32) Liz Saliba of Brookwood took 5th (19:35) and Bobbi Ayres from Grayson 6th (19:56)

Gomez finally gets her due, winning the Girls Overall title posting a time of 19:06
