Fulton County Day 2 Preview

BOYS

The host Eagles of Milton have a commanding 32.5 point lead on well-rounded Roswell and sprint-power Westlake. With only running event finals to go, Milton has big scoring potential in both the 800 (Jack Bluth & Michael McCarthy-who split 1:57.5 on his 4x800m leg) & 3200 meter races (where newly crowned 1600m & defending 3200m county champ Connor Cole, along with teammate Preston Meade return) where they could go 1-2 in both, possibly completing a rare "sweep" of the distance events! The Eagles also have scoring threats in the 400m, 300m Hurdles, the 4x100 & the 4x400 relays! Roswell counters with their top-man Tyson Spears as he factors in Roswell's 4x100 & 4x400 relays along with running the 100 & 200m finals). Westlake has scorers in all the events 400m & under and both relays (4x1 & 4x4) and will make a run for the title as well!

GIRLS

The showdown is ON! North Springs & Westlake will battle in every event 400m and under and then in both relays to settle it! With new stadium marks set by North Springs Micaiah Ransby in the 200 & 400m and her carries in the 4x100 & 4x400m, North Springs looks primed for the title but Westlake will counter with Jenee Nichols in the 200 & 400m and 2 relays each in the 4x100 & 4x400 relay finals! Its too close to call but the Lady lions are already up on North Springs by 46 points so it maybe too big a gap to overcome as Johns Creek is the team leader after the first day but expect some really fast performances and more stadium marks to fall!
