Meet Program

The meet is named after Coach Jerry Arnold, a fixture on the Georgia coaching scene for over 30 years. If you've attended a meet at Mill Creek, you've heard his voice over the PA as the announcer, keeping everyone informed and adding to festive atmosphere of meets. Coach Arnold started at Carrollton High School, then moved to Brookwood before finishing his career at Mill Creek. His athletes and teams won multiple State titles under his tutelage. He is a part of the Carrollton Hall of Fame, the Gwinnett County XC/Track and Field Hall of Fame, and the Georgia XC/Track and Field Hall of Fame. He also works closely with the GHSA to try and improve our sport every year. It is fitting that such a competitive meet should be named after a legendary coach, who not only coached athletes to their fullest potential, but is a true ambassador of our sport.
