Wildcats capture cross country titles

The Richmond Hill girls and boys both captured cross country titles in the Region 3AAAAA meet Friday at the Richmond Hill Fish Hatchery.

The girls, lead by freshman Jennifer Thorpe (20:26.1), placed all seven of their runners in the top 10 to dominate the field.

Wildcat runner Tanner Hicks (17:21.3) took the boys individual title by more than 10 seconds to pace the boys team.

Both squads travel to Carrollton next weekend for the state championship meet.
