                                                                          Quintin Miles, Junior Suarez, Corson Teasley and Tyler Jones took command early.                
 
Great atmosphere and intense battles for both region titles. In the boys race a lead pack of Quintin Miles, Junior Suarez,Corson Teasley and Tyler Jones took command early. They were followed by ColeThornton, Austin Thompson of White Co. and NH' Tommy Johnston. Halfway through Teasley dropped off a little. In the last 800 Miles pulled slightly ahead and held on for the win in 15:31 Junior Suarez of Johnson (15:34) held off Tyler Jones (15:37) off to the finish. ColeThornton made a strong move to leave Johnston and gain on Teasley. Harper Sigler of North Oconee had a furious finish passing a Johnson runner and Thompson and just missed catching Johnston by one second. Thomas Moore and Anthony Potts from the Titans helped secure the region title for by finishing ahead of Bryce Schubert and Parker of North Hall.  Quintin Miles set a new course record previously held by Larson of N. Hall. Johnson and Chestatee rounded out the state qualifiers. Austin Thompson of White Co. ran a very fast race and still was unable to secure a spot in Carrollton.

                                                                White County's Jenna Gearing was never challenged winning the Girls Overall in 18:21
 
The girls race was tremendous for the region title and state qualifiers. Ranked Chestatee finished 6th. 5th ranked Buford finished 3rd as 4th ranked White Co. won the title over 6th ranked North Oconee by one point. Jenna Gearing of White took control of the race early on and never was seriously challenged with a fast time of 18:21.  However, Frosh Lindsay Grater of Chestatee  finished strong for a clear second at 18:42 Lauryn Davidson, Makayla Ellis and Evelin Avita pretty much ran the whole race in their finishing positions. The real battle took place in the pack of 25 runners that followed. Constant changing of positions throughout the race between Buford, North Oconee and White Co. Sophie Brown and Amy Stanaland made a late break to send 7 runners under the 20 minute barrier. In the last 200 several girls from the top 3 schools changed places in a great team race.
