 Chase Kennedy (15:50) defeated some stiff competition at Mountain outlasting Qintin Miles and Gerardo Suarez. East Jackson placed a strong 3rd solidifying their top 5 placing 3 runners in the top 9 including Noah Huleet (7th/16:13) and Chandler Kennedy (9th at 16:16) Westminster/Wesleyan) have their work cut out for them in 5 weeks...

 

    

South Forsyth jr Savannah Carnahan ruled at Unicoi State Park a few miles north of Helen shattering the course record by over :40 improving by 1:18 posting a 17:40 on the same exact course according to Locutus. Hart's Audrey Honiotes seized 3rd at 18:32 followed by White County's Jenna Gearing in 4th (18:38) Gearing held the old course record (18:38 in 2013)

 

  

 390 MS Boys! teed it up in a tight race in the MS Boys 2 Mile Run, but Noah Irwin of Athens Christian School took the win in 11:09 holding off challenges by Tony Martinez of Chestatee MS (2nd/11:14) Dawson Frey of Oglethorpe MS (3rd/11:16) and 7th grader Christian Aldalco from West Hall MS (4th/11:19) Gainesville MS ran well as a team taking the team title by 51 points.

 

 

Caroline Patterson of the Great Strides Club is the Overall MS Champ posting a 12:20. West Forsyth (actually the Jr Wolverines were team champs defeating (actual MS School White County by 44 points)  ACS was 3rd scoring 117. Mallory Luskus of "JR Wolverines" placed 2nd at 12:33 followed by host White County's Jaelen Alexander at 12:37

 

Johnson Gainesville's Javier Gonzalez is exhuberant crossing the finish line in 17:37 taking the JV Boys Overall. If this guy is elgible for varsity competition come Region, Johnson is a potential darkhorse 4A Podium squad...

   South Forsyth's JV Girls nearly perfect scored at 16 points dominating the race led by winner Devynn Honey in 22:02

 

          

North Hall's Freight Train of Pain has always ran well at Mountain and Thursday was no exception as the #2 4A Trojans held off 6A South Forsyth by 4 points taking the Varsity Boys team honors. Quintin Miles once gain led the charge placing 2nd overall a few meters behind EJHS soph Kennedy posting a 15:52 nipping the ever improving Gerardo Suarez of Johnson by a step (15:53) NH harrier Corson Teasley was 4th overall in 16:11.

         

South Forsyth was at full strength at Mountain running roughshod over the smaller schools scoring 33 pts placing 4 girls in the top 8 including jr Savannah Carnahan as she shattered the course record in 17:40  Kaylee Dupont placed 2nd in 18:20 and teammates Millicent Bergey was 5th in 18:57 with Emily Maisel 8th at 19:43
