Georgians Take Golds at AAU JO, Dingler Sets Meet Record in PV

Carson Dingler set a new AAU 15-16 age meet record clearing 12-7 making it a sweep of the JO National meets this past 2 weeks. Dingler (just a soph) may have her sights set on the 14-0 barrier and already owns the best All-Time mark in GHSA girls history at 13-0. Also winning Gold medals were Victoria Powell from Lovett HS (who was injured late in the HS Outdoor season) winning the 400 meters easily in 54.76. Taylor DeLoach from St.Vincent's (Savannah) took Gold in the LJ with a leap of 19-1.75 and Forest Park's Bria Matthews added horizontal Gold in the TJ at 40-2.5. Antuane Dennard won the 15-16 Boys Decathlon scoring 5860 points as well as having (2) 6th place finishes in the HJ/400h. Daniel Glick (formerly of Unity Christian) now at Rome HS had an axceptional meet placing 2nd in the 2000 Steeplechase in 6:13.33, placed 3rd in the 300 meters in 9:03.31 and took 7th in the 1500m. Glick now has to be considered a strong contender for the 5A Cross Country individual title after these performances.
