    1A Pvt Boys- Landmark Christian Flies to Team Title, Friedman Simply Too Fast

Reilly Friedman held a 50-60 meter lead beginning loop 2 with about 8-10 runners within 15 meters of each other. At Mile 2 Friedman had opened up a nearly 80 meter lead over Shane Sullivan. Keough and Sullivan battled thru the back course punishing double hills section. Galloway's Friedman continued to motor bulding his lead to 150 meters defending his 2012 title crossing the mats in 16:29. Keough put in another gear the final 400 cruising to 2nd in 17:01 Sullivan crossed 3rd in 17:10. Another duel a few meters back ended with Joey Carr of Mount Paran (17:16) besting Athens Academy's Adam Hearn (17:17).

The team title was wide open and whoever packed it in with a couple top 10 individuals stood the best chance of claiming 1A Private team supeme. Landmark Christian secured the team title with 103 points, putting 4 runners in spots 11-24 which was enough for a 23 point margin over a tough Darlington squad. Sr Spencer Geerings was the top Eagle placing 11th in 17:44. Spencer Fields paced Darlington's runnerup team finish placing 10th in 17:33. Athens Christian took home 3rd place led by Morgan Bishoff in 20th. Holy Innocents ran very well taking the Final Podium spot led by Warner Ray in 6th at 17:23. Rounding out the All-State team was a 3 man 'free for all' including Josh Rogers of Pace Academy taking 7th in 17:26, Dustin Snyder 8th in 17:26 (leading Lakeview to a 5th place team finish) and Will Martin of FPD 9th in 17:27
