A once dominant Flowery Branch has watched its gap close as hungry teams like Clarkston, Northview, Greenbrier, Lakeside-Evans, and Sequoyah look to play spoiler. Individually, it appears to be a duel between Logan Poteet of Kell and Christian Bowles of Lakeside-Evans.
As the region meets have come and gone, the quest for the podium approaches its end. A once dominant Flowery Branch has watched its gap close as hungry teams like Clarkston, Northview, Greenbrier, Lakeside-Evans, and Sequoyah look to play spoiler. Coach Sorrells has long been a coach known for preparing his team for crunch time, so I still think Flowery Branch will keep their stronghold on the top spot with the aforementioned teams (and some others) racing for the final 3 podium spots. Seemingly any team in the top 10 on the boys’ side can challenge for a top 4 team trophy.
Individually, it appears to be a duel between Logan Poteet of Kell and Christian Bowles of Lakeside-Evans. Both are juniors, so this looks to be part 1 of a 2 part saga. Don’t sleep on John Raville, Conner Dalrymple, Nicholas Ashmead, Jake Shewbert, Logan Hughes, Justin Weegar, Davis Stockwell, Brennan Garriques, and Chris Costa who all will be looking to see how far into the top 10 they can run – if not challenge for the win if Bowles and Poteet falter.
