Senior Marcus Gouthroe of RMA, dominated the boys race on his home course winning the overall title in 17:01 leading the Cadets to a runnerup team finish and state berth. Jefferson's boys ran to the team win led by frosh Addison Cochran placing 2nd in 17:49. Sid Wightman from Oglethorpe came in 3rd at 17:53. Union and Oglethorpe q'd fro state as teams
Girls
It was no surprise that defending AA state champ Emma Garrison blew away the 43 girl field in 19:19. Her only real challenge at Carrollton may be Caroline Reed. The news here at RMA today were the Rabun County squad running lights out beating higher ranked Jefferson by 6 points. Sally Woerner led the Widcats title run placing 2nd in 20:52. Union County and Oglethorpe q'd for state in 3rd/4th.
