GISA AAA Girls Preview
Holy Spirit Prep 1AAA- Holy Spirit won the 1AAA title. In a virtual meet they beat Augusta Prep by 36 points. But, at 1AAA at the LCA State course, managed to outlast a game Weber School squad. So, toss the virtual meet ran in the trash. Top runner for Holy Spirit Prep is Angela Dale was 4th at Region clocking a 21:08
The Weber School 1AAA- Weber gave Holy Spirit all they could handle at the 1AAA meet coming up short 3 points from a title. Not sure if Heritage's best times are from a fast course or Weber has just improved alot the past weeks. Sydney Benator is the top runner placing 2nd at region in 20:48
Augusta Prep 4AAA- Augusta Prep is running as well as anyone late in the season (when it matters) placing 5 runners in the top 10 at 4AAA defeating rival Westminster Augusta by 8 points. From 1-7 they have the most depth of the AAA squads. Leading AUgusta Prep are siblings Jamie and Jodie Holodak as they went 1,3 at region.
Westminster Augusta 4AAA- Based on their heads up battle at 4AAA against Augusta Prep they have a legitimate chance to be in contention Saturday morning. Emily Rogers, Tyra Kimbler and Catherine Polk are a formidable threesome.
Mount Desales 2AAA- Not real sure on Mount DeSales as their region did not submit results to MileSplit and their best times were from the Southland Kickoff Classic weeks ago and Covenant meet. Jessy Tallant is their #1 runner with a pr of 21:07.
Southland Academy 3AAA- The Raiders beat Deerfield Windsor by 11 points at region 3AAA and have much more depth as well. Southland could turn it up a notch and challenge for a top 5 team finish. Leading runners for them are Chris Shattles and Sydney Hayes.
Deerfield-Windsor 3AAA- Deerfield will have some work to do to surpass Southland Saturday. They do feature one of the top runners in AAA with Ruthie Powell.
Stratford 2AAA and The Heritage School will be battling for 7-8th team places based on data.

GISA Coach Notes- The AAA girls team competition should be extremely competitive, with three teams near the top all season: Mt de Sales, Stratford (who is the defending champ), and Holy Spirit Prep of Atlanta. I would not count out The Weber School, Augusta Prep and Westminster Augusta
