GISA AA Boys Preview

In the A/AA boys, the McLeod brothers (Kaleb and Jacob) have been dominant this season along with Jacob Burgamy of Brentwood. Expect Trinity Christian-Dublin to easily win the team title in A/AA. Trinity defeated (Southland) by 9 points at Darton on October 12. Trinity would also be tough to beat if in the AAA race. The course is a technical 2 loop course with a start and finish on the football field grass. The course runs the perimeter of the campus and through mulch and leaf trails in the woods behind the athletic fields. The campus course is though without any major hills.

Boys AA

Trinity Christian 2AA- Kaleb McLeod has been unbeaten all season and ran some smokin' times on fast courses. He's the runner everyone will be watching and it will be interesting how he handles any challenges from Monsignor Donovan's Jenkins. Jacob McLeod (8th grader) has been trying to close the gap on Kaleb all season and this would be the choice meet to have his best race. Ben Peacock has also went sub 18.

Unity Christian 4AA- Looks like a strong contender for team runnerup led by another pair of brothers like Trinity, with Daniel and Elijah Glick. Their big advantage over Covenant is the frontrunning the Glick's have.

Covenant Academy 1AA- is led by Ben Kilgore and they do have a tighter pack than Unity from 1-5. If they leave it all out on the course Saturday a 2nd place team finish is very possible.

The Cottage School 4AA- is just a tad behind Covenant on paper with Frederica Academy and Westminster Christian in striking distance.

Monsignor Donovan 1AA- Joe Jenkins ia a stud from a long line of successful runners the Jenkins' family has produced and I've watched him run as a MS athlete at Athens Christian. It will be interesting to see him and Kaleb McLeod go at it and their strategies.
