Oak Hill Girls Track & Field are the 2012 Georgia Middle School State Champions. After placing 5th place in the state meet in 2011, Oak Hill girls was determine to finish in the top three. Amber McCrary team captain, leader and now state champion and record holder in the high jump lead this Oak Hill team for three straight years. Her hard work and the love for track and field took this team to another level this year. McCrary will be leaving Oak Hill, but she left behind some really good 6th and 7th graders. Brittany Trawick 6th grade made it to the finals in both 100m,200m at the state meet and also finished 3rd in the triple jump. Look for Brittany this summer and next season.
Zykeria Wiliams 7th grade LJ, TJ and 300H. Zykeria 2nd place finish in this year state meet(LJ)16-03 and 4th place (TJ)31-04, she has also made her point to become a 300IH champion 13th place in this year state meet.
Shakeria Collins 7th grade 100H and 400m. Shakeria took on the hurdles for the first time this year. Her time in this event has improve on each of her races 14th place in this year state meet.
Oak Hill Girls will be bigger and stronger in the 2013 season.
