The Chattahoochee Technical College teams provided lots of thrills during their existance from 2004 until 2013. The men's and women's track teams qualified 80 athletes for the NJCAA National Track Meets over the years. The team included a dozen All American athletes and also six Academic All American athletes. The men's cross country team finished as high as 15th in the NJCAA national meet. All teams (cross country and track) finished within the top two in their conference over the years.

The track teams were also the only junior college teams in Georgia. Thus providing a place for athletes who were not ready for four year competition, or academics, to continue after high school.

The teams placed many athletes at four year universities, including Georgia's Berry College, Columbus State, Georgia Tech, Savannah State, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, and others throughout the Southeast U.S.

In the spring of 2013, the administration of CTC decided to go in a "New Direction" cutting the track teams and the club football team. Also scholarships have been removed from the cross country and basketball teams. Thus, greatly reducing the strength of the future teams.
