Meet Information

JV Panther Invitational (9th and 10th grade only!)
Date: Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

Starr's Mill will be hosting a JV Invitational on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. We will take the first 15 teams that are interested. Email Coach Walker at walker.chad@fcboe.org. This year our venue will feature a brand new 8 lane track, new hurdles, and a new pole vault pit. All timing will be FAT.

Awards: We will have 1st and 2nd place trophies for the top boy's and girl's team. Also, a Champion T-Shirt for the winner of each event and 2nd/3rd place medals.

Note that these instructions are on the US Portal and you will have to return to your state site to actually find your team and enter the meet.

Entries per Event: Each school is allowed 2 entries for all field events and 3 entries for open track races. Relays are limited to 2 from each school.

Entry Fees: Boys: $75/Girls: $75. Checks should be made out to Finish Line Booster Club. Entry fees are due by March 2, 2011. If not received by March 2, 2011 an additional late fee charge of $50 will be added. Please send payment by due date to:

Scoring: 8 places will score (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).

Timing: All timing will be conducted using the Finishlynx Timing System.

Opening Heights and Minimum Marks: Each participant in all field events will have 3 trials.
Warm-up Area: The warm-up area is behind the visting stands. No warm-ups are permitted on the infield.

Drop-off: All buses need to drop off in front of the stadium and then park along side of the stadium parking lot.

(3 trials each in Discus Throw, Long Jump, Shot Put, Triple Jump)

RUNNING EVENTS: The order of all common running event heats will be girls followed by boys.

5:15 PM 1600 Meter Run (Waterfall Start)
5:55 PM 400 Meter Dash
6:20 PM 100 Meter Dash
6:40 PM Girls 100 Meter High Hurdles
6:50 PM Boys 110 Meter High Hurdles
6:55 PM 800 Meter Run (One-Curve Stagger)
7:15 PM 200 Meter Dash
7:35 PM Girls 300 Meter Low Hurdles
7:45 PM Boys 300 Meter Intermediate Hurdles
8:00 PM 3200 Meter Run (Waterfall Start)
8:40 PM 4X400 Meter Relay

All participants in a running event should check in with the clerk of course in the warm-up area to receive hip numbers, lane, & heat assignments.

In the event we get ahead of schedule we will stay ahead of schedule.
