11th Annual 2018 Jerry Arnold Georgia Challenge at Mill Creek

SCORING-Top 8 places will be scored.
AWARDS-Awards stand will feature MEDALS FOR THE TOP 8, the Champion will receive a Champion Meet Tee Shirt. Trophies will be presented to the TOP 4 TEAMS.
ENTRIES-Two entries per school and one relay team per school.
Deadline for entries are March 6, 2018.
Please use verified entries only. Performances must be VERIFIED to be used for seeding.
CHECK IN Heat sheets will be sent to coaches on Friday afternoon March 9th and posted on GA.MILESPLIT.com There will be no additions made to the meet after March 9th 2017. One-for-one substitutions may be made with the clerk of course on the day of the meet as long as no one violates the participation limit.
QUALIFYING-Finals are by time only in all running events.
FIELD EVENTS-Every contestant in the shot, discus, long jump and triple jump will be given 3 attempts with the top 9 qualifying for the final.
COACHING: Coaches will not be asked to pay entry fee and then work an event. Please enjoy the meet and take advantage of being able to coach your athletes. We offer finals in the horizontals and throws. Please remember that all coaching or encouraging athletes during running events and field events must be done from outside the track or outside the restricted competition area. Any coach or athlete not participating in that event must be outside the restricted areas of the track or field event being contested, violation could result in the disqualification of the competing athlete. Please check with the Event Official about where coaches are allowed during the competition. Coaches should also check with Event official about restricted and unrestricted areas for viewing video or pictures.
INFIELD-No spectators, parents, coaches (unless attending to an injured athlete) or athletes (not involved in competition) will be allowed on the track or in the field. Failure to comply will result in your removal from the track and disqualification from the meet. Coach it is your responsibility to inform your athletes of this! This measure is for the safety of all athletes.
Warm-ups will be allowed on the track until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. After 9:45 a.m. all warm-ups should be done on the practice football field or the warm up track at the middle school.
Please do not set up any tents in bleachers on the home stands in the stadium. You may use the visitor stands for tents, or the practice football field in the non warm up area closest to the field house. We will have designated areas marked for tents.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS will be on hand for all sessions, we do ask if you have an athlete that needs taping to please bring a roll of tape for our Athletic Trainers to use.
FACILITIES-The track at Mill Creek is a latex all-weather track. ---1/4 inch or less Pyramid spikes only. Spikes will be checked Two Horizontal jump runways with Mondo surface.Two Pole vault runways and pits (one Mondo, one Latex)
Head Coaches must submit the new GHSA Pole Vault verification form at the beginning of the meet to verify the weight of all vaulters and the pole ratings.The throwing areas will be marked with the 34.92 degree sectors.The warm up area is on the practice field adjacent to the Stadium. There will NOT be a dressing area at the stadium. PARKING-Buses should unload in the lower parking lot by the softball baseball fields and then proceed to bus parking area at the Middle School.
ENTRY FEE:Entry fees are $100.00 per team or $150.00 per SCHOOL or $10.00 per athlete if bringing fewer than 10 athletes. Payments can be made by sending payment to Rik Moore Mill Creek High School 4400 Hwy 124 Hoschton, GA 30548 Make checks payable to:Mill Creek Track and Field Booster Club. You may also bring your payment to the Coaches meeting Saturday morning.
GATE FEE $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
CONCESSIONS-There will be a full concession area provided.
HOSPITALITY ROOM will be in the field house for Coaches Only, we ask that you do not take items out of the hospitality.
NO ATHLETES allowed in that facility. Coaches please keep all athletes out of the field house. Coaches will be issued wrist bands to access the field house.
PROTESTS-All protests must be directed to the Meet Director in writing. The Jury of Appeals will make all rule interpretations. RULES-All National Federation rules and GHSA rules will apply in regards to uniform rules. No electronics in the restricted competition area. Check with event official about non restricted areas for athletes to view video or pictures.
RELAYS-One relay entry per team. When entering on line you must list 4 runners and 2 alternates---any of those 6 may run on the relay.
T-SHIRTS-Will be sold at the meet provided by Georgia Promotions.
CLERK OF COURSE-Athletes must check in and stay with the clerk of course by 2nd call.Uniforms will be checked at the clerk area. Failure to check in and follow clerk's instructions will result in disqualification. Hip numbers will be issued to each athlete; they are to be placed on the left hip. We will walk the athletes out onto the track from the clerk area.
Results-Will be posted below the press box at the conclusion of each event, and through Live Results. Final results will be posted on ga.mileplit.com and emailed to all coaches.
