14th Annual War Eagle Invitational

Meet Venue: Chestatee Middle School, 2740 Fran Mar Drive, Gainesville, GA 30506

Race Schedule:
4:30: Middle School Boys
5:00: Middle School Girls
5:30: JV Boys (unlimited)
6:10: JV Girls (unlimited)
6:50: Varsity Boys (Top 10 Runners)
7:20: Varsity Girls (Top 10 Runners)
• Middle School Awards Ceremony will begin at approximately 5:45
• High School Awards Ceremony will begin shortly upon completion of the Girls’ Varsity Race

Check-In:
• Coaches should check in and pick up race packets at the scorer’s table located close to the finish line.

Cost:
• $80 for high school Boys’ OR Girls’ Team
• $150 for both Boys’ and Girls’ High School Teams
Includes entry for both varsity and JV runners
• $50 for middle school Boys’ OR Girls’ Team
• $100 for both Boys’ and Girls’ middle school teams
• $15 per individual runner (unattached/less than 5 on team)

Entries:
• Please contact Stacey Merck at stacey.merck@hallco.org for meet entry information and password. The meet filled to capacaty last
year and is expected to do so again for the 2017 meet. Due to course limitations, we are only able to accommodate 18 high
school teams and 12 middle school teams.
• NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO ENTRIES ON RACE DAY!

Results:
• Results will be posted near the finish line as soon as possible after each race.
• All results will be posted to Ga MileSplit upon conclusion of the meet.

Awards:
• Top 10 Individuals in all races will receive medals.
• Top 3 Schools in each Varsity race and top 2 schools in each middle school race will receive trophies.

Parking (Maps to be sent out in August)
• Busses arriving prior to 4:00 will be directed to park at Sardis Baptist Church
• Busses arriving after 4:00 will be directed to park at Sardis Park (upper parking lot of Sardis Elementary School)
• We suggest that busses drop off athletes prior to 3:30 or after 4:15. Fran Mar Drive often becomes congested with car-rider traffic, especially between 3:45 and 4:10.
• Busses should drop athletes off in front of Chestatee Middle School (race venue) on Fran Mar Drive, then proceed to the Sardis Baptist Church or Sardis Elementary School Lots.
• All spectators should park in the Chestatee High School parking lots and walk down the bus access road to the race site.
• A shuttle will be provided for elderly and disabled spectators as well as bus drivers parked at Sardis Elementary School.
• For the safety of the athletes and spectators, Chestatee Middle School parking lots and driveways will be completely blocked off for the duration of the meet.

School Tents:
• Tents should be placed on the practice football field, across the driveway from the race start/finish area. Please remind your athletes to clean up your team’s area before leaving. Tied trash bags can be left on the edge of the field.

Concessions:
• Water, PowerAde and various food items will be on sale in the tent set-up area.
• Kona Ice will be selling shaved ice to help you and your athletes to cool off.

T-Shirts:
• Customizable event t-shirts will be on sale by EagleSportz Graphics. The t-shirt tent will be set up in the team tent area.

Restrooms:
• Portable toilets will be set up along the edge of the practice football field. No one will be allowed inside Chestatee Middle School.
