2017 Walton Co. Track and Field Championships

Total cost for girls and boys team is entry is $100.00. Make check to: SCHS Athletic Department.

Meet Notes:
Awards: The top 2 individual finishers in each event will be awarded medals; top 2 teams will receive trophies.
Entry: Maximum 3 entries per individual events; 2 entries per relay team
Meet Time: We will start the meet promptly at 4:30 PM.
Coaches: Upon arrival, please proceed to the Clerk of the Course's table to pick-up your Meet Packet.
Admission: General admission is $5.
Concession: A variety of snacks, drinks and candies will be for sale in the concessions.
Spectators & Teams: All seating is on the home side stands (along the finish line straight away).
Officiating of Meet
Each School will be responsible for assiting with field events.
We will use chalk instead of tape on our track. Please tell your athletes to NOT put tape down on the track, nor the jumping pits. We will provide chalk.

Please instruct your athletes regarding the uniform and jewelry rules. Prepare for Championship Season.
Clerking & Warm-ups:
Athletes are not allowed on the infield at any time. The Clerk of the Course tent will be set up on the Home side of the at the end of the chute start area of the 100 and hurdles. At check-in, they will be held in a staging area pending the start of their event. We will have warm up boundaries marked off in the infield.
All events are finals

Throwing Events (All Times are Tentative)
Each athlete will get 3 throws/jumps, of which, their first successful attempt will be measured. All other measurements must meet the standards. Top 9 in girls and boys shot put, discus, long jump, and triple jump will have a final (3 additional throws/jumps). We only have one long/triple jump runway in which we will contest boys first then girls with JV after varsity. We will work on a rolling schedule for field events.
