The Rock Ranch Invitational

7:45 AM Public 5K Race ($25 a person)
8:45 AM Varsity Boy's (5K) (Max 10 runners per team) Medals to top 15.
9:15 AM Varsity Girl's (5K) (Max 10 runners per team) Medals to top 15.
9:45 AM Girl's JV and Boys JV (Unlimited) Medals to top 10 boys and girls
10:15 AM Boys and Girls Middle School (5k) Medals to top 10 boys and girls
11:00 AM Awards
Team Awards: Trophies will go to the top 3 teams for both varsity races. The top 15 runners in each varsity event will receive medals for placement.
Location: The Rock Ranch in The Rock, GA.
Course Description: The Rock Ranch, located in The Rock, Georgia is a 1250-acre cattle ranch, owned by Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. The purpose of The Rock Ranch is "uniting families with the land and each other." The course transports runners across scenic countryside with moderate levels of terrain and elevation. As the name suggests, there are many large granite rocks along the course. The challenging course at The Rock Ranch is a 5k loop across "real" country. About 40 percent of the course offers shade and the course has equal uphill and downhill segments (with a long downhill stretch toward the finish). Competitors will run across manicured lawn, through hay fields, through hardwood forests, along a creek, past: ponds, horses, cows, donkeys, corn fields, Conestoga Wagons, a locomotive train, a windmill and other unique scenery. This course will provide a challenging and fun venue for both competition and conditioning. Visit www.therockranch.com for driving directions.
Results: Results will be processed as quickly as possible and submitted to www.ga.milesplit.com
Fees:
-$60 per team entered (VB, VG, JVB, and JVG).
-$30 per MS team.
-$10 per unattached runner.
-The maximum entry per school is $150 (all teams combined).
Race day payments will be accepted.
