The nation's No. 1 ranked 100 and 200 meter sprinter and defending national champion in both events is still just a sophomore. Hill set Georgia state records in the 100m (11.34) and 200m (23.05) last weekend.
Many A Private schools will be in contention for a coveted team state title and Podium spots at Hugh Mills Stadium in 3 days. Sectionals over at Landmark were virtually a rehearsal for the big dance without the 1600 and 3200 being contested. Our Lady of Mercy is the pre-meet favorite going in...but the 1600 and 3200 races are going to be something special...
Candace Hill has been a phenom since Middle School, and her 200 Meter 23.05 has the potential of her becoming serious Olympic stuff, perhaps as early as 2016..? Who knows, Allyson Felix take notice..
The competition in AAAA will be quite intense as Marist attempts to defend their team title. Only 4 teams have a real chance at Podium spots and chasing Marist including upstart Baldwin, hometown fave Monroe ALB, Redan and Fayette County

Morgan Ilse was simply splendid in her final salute to GHSA competition pounding the mondo into submission easily winning the 1600 in 4:56. Team mate Josie Wirtz was 2nd as Marst swept both distance events for 36 HUGE points
This race for the team title in AAAAA was a classic in every way possible and North Springs came through in the clutch overtaking many teams on 'Leaderboard' having begun their Saturday with 0 points.
