Race times: 4:30 p.m. Boys Varsity
5:00 p.m. Girls Varsity
5:30 JV Boys and Girls Simultaneously
Entry: Entry deadline is October 28th at midnight. Online entry will open on this page October 1st.
Enter names of the all of your runners, both varsity and JV. (Only seven of those who you registered with GHSA will be allowed to run varsity on race day.)
NEW!!! JV runners WILL be entered online now! In an effort to make this a more enjoyable event for all of the runners, we will now be timing JV runners as well as varsity. Boys and girls will still be running simultaneously so that we can finish before total darkness, but there will be two separate timers and two separate chutes for males and females.
Awards: Team trophies to top 4 teams (State Qualifiers) in High School Varsity races. No team awards in J.V. races. Individual awards to top 6 finishers in Varsity races. Top 6 medals for these races presented in the finish chute. Varsity trophies will be presented after completion of all races.
Course: With a little walking, runners are visible over approximately 1/2 of the course with great views of start and finish for spectators. Course is mostly flat, but with some short, challenging hills and a tunnel. Terrain varies and includes grass, asphalt, gravel road, dirt, and cement sidewalk. The high school course loops around Roper Park, passes through a tunnel (under Refuge Rd.) to a loop behind Pickens County Middle School, and then passes back through the tunnel to finish in Roper Park. Finish is close to the start.
Facilities: Restrooms will be available.
Concessions: Food and drinks will be available.
Spectator Admission: A $3 entry fee will be charged for adults, $1 entry for students, children under 5 will be free.
T-shirts: Customizable meet T-shirts by EagleSportz will be available for sale .
Parking: Parking for spectators will be available at Roper Park or across the street at Pickens County Middle School (PCMS).
Please note!! - All buses will be directed to park behind the Pickens County Recreation Department building.
