ALL FIELD EVENTS WILL BE COMPLETED BEFORE RUNNING EVENTS BEGIN
SCRATCH Field House team room, 10:30am Thursday. Changes Friday for the 3200m run only
MEETING
RESULTS Will be posted below press box.
They will be announced as soon as they are available.
Final results will be emailed to each head coach.
State qualifiers by school will be on the GHSA website by the end of the day
TuesdayApril 23rd, please check for accuracy.
FIELD EVENTS Every contestant in the shot, discus, long jump and triple jump will
be given 3 attempts with the top 9 qualifying for the finals. Pole Vault will go up 6 and High Jump 2 and will use the five alive.
When there is a tie in any event involving more contestants than the Region Meet is entitled to enter the Sectional Meet, the contest must continue or be re-held until the representatives to the Sectional Meet are determined. Clear 5th and 6th place positions must be determined in every event in case of the need for replacements to sectional meet.
Shot and Discus will be weighed and measured at the field house.
Pole vaulters will be weighed before jumping.
TOP 4 ATHLETES WILL ADVANCE TO STATE SECTIONALS
COACHING All coaching or encouraging athletes during running events must be done from outside the track or from designated coaching areas.
INFIELD Access to the infield will be restricted to officials and competitors during the running events! Athletes must enter at the clerk of course entrance at the end of the 100 straight away outside the fence. Athletes will be allowed to warm up on practice field only!
TENTS We will allow tents on the visitor side or on the plaza level. No tents in Home stands.
FACILITIES The track is a 8 lane all-weather track.
---1/4 inch or less spikes only
The runways are made of the same all-weather surface
The throwing pads are concrete
There will be no dressing area at the stadium.
PARKING Bus unload in the Baseball/softball lots. All cars will park in the stadium parking lot.
GATE FEE $5.00 for everyone. Coaches must enter through the GHSA pass gate.
CONCESSIONS There will be a full concession area provided
HOSPITALITY Coaches hospitality will be in the field house. Coaches only please.
PROTESTS All protests or complaints must be directed to the Meet Director in writing.
The Jury of Appeals will make all rule interpretations.

uniforms and sportsmanship. Please make your athletes aware of all of those rules
RELAYS Relay teams must be listed on your entry form with all alternates included. Must be completed by scratch meeting on Thursday.
T-SHIRTS Region t-shirts will be sold by Georgia Promotions.
CLERK OF COURSE The clerking area will be located outside the fence under the tent. All athletes must report to this area for check-in by the second call.
WARM UP AREA Warm up area for all running events will be on the practice field. Soccer will practice in the afternoon so we will have a section of the field
RUNNING EVENTS WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL ALL FIELD EVENTS ARE COMPLETED
