Middle School Boys

Middle School Girls - (3200 meters) 8:30 AM
Varsity Boys - (5K) 9:15 AM
Varsity Girls - (5K) 9:45 AM
J.V. Boys - (5K) 10:30 AM
J.V. Girls - (5K) 11:00 AM

Entry Fees:

Entry fee is $60 per H.S. Varsity Girls' or Boys' team ($120 total for both); no charge for H.S. - J.V. if Varsity team(s) also registered.

Charge is same ($60) for M.S. Girls' or Boys' Teams ($120 if you bring both).

Unattached runners are welcome in the M.S. and J.V races - the registration fee is $15 per runner.

GHSA schools only in the H.S. Varsity Races as per GHSA rules, non-GHSA schools and running clubs eligible to run in J.V. and M.S. Races.

Make checks payable to "PHS XC Booster Club", and put "Sharptop Invitational (XC)" in "for" line.

Entry: Entry deadline is October 10th at midnight. Online entry will open on this page in August.

Enter top 7 runners in varsity HS races, unlimited entries in MS races. JV runners will not be entered online.

Awards: Team trophies to top three teams in Middle School races. Trophies to top three teams in High School Varsity races. No team awards in J.V. races. Individual awards to top 10 finishers in every race, boys and girls. Special "Sharptop Invitational Race Champion" t-shirt to individual winners for each race.

Top 10 medals for each race presented in the finish chute. M.S. awards will be presented after start of Girls' Varsity race. Varsity awards will be presented after completion of all races.

Course: With a little walking, runners are visible over approximately 1/2 of the course with great views of start and finish for spectators. Course is mostly flat, but with some short, challenging hills and a tunnel. Terrain varies and includes grass, asphalt, gravel road, dirt, and cement sidewalk. The high school course loops around Roper Park, passes through a tunnel (under Refuge Rd.) to a loop behind Pickens County Middle School, and then passes back through the tunnel to finish in Roper Park. Finish is close to the start.

The middle school course involves much of the same terrain and will also pass through the tunnel to the PCMS part of the course. Runners will return to finish on the same field they start on.

Facilities: Restrooms will be available.

Concessions: Food and drinks will be available.

Spectator Admission: A $5 entry fee will be charged for adults, $2 entry for students and children.

T-shirts: Customizable meet T-shirts by EagleSportz will be available for sale .

Parking:
Parking for spectators will be available at Roper Park or across the street at Pickens County Middle School (PCMS). All buses will be directed to park at PCMS with athletes entering Roper Park through the tunnel.
