DQs & Injustices

    To all,
My advice (not worth a whole lot): Stop complaining about DQs and injustices on message boards. There has never been a DQ that at least one person hasn't called an injustice. Also, no DQ in the history of track & field has ever been overturned due to a message board post (I have no data to back this up. Maybe Dataholic can do an analysis?). It would be nice if the kids who read these message boards were shown how to handle hardships and perceived injustices in a mature and by-the-rules fashion.

There were TONS of fantastic things, both on and off the field, that happened in the Region & Sectional meets. Jefferson & Albany are going to be incredible events this year. My advice? Focus on that. Those who vent on this message board accomplish absolutely nothing positive.

Well said, Coach Carter. Usually at this point in the season the message boards are lit with speculation and anticipation, not exactly what we've seen the last few weeks. Now let's get back to business. Someone call for the season's first predictions thread! Bring back what made us all mile split addicts!! Do I hear an amen?

Who's allowed to DQ athletes? I was told a kid from my region was DQ'd by one of the coaches. I was told he complained to an official who didn't witness the infraction but agreed to DQ him. And several other coaches didn't agree that the infraction was made. But he was DQ'd anyway! Is that possible?
