Due to construction and football, Marist's Double Dip with our new and improved trails (we will have access to about half the stuff across the creek) will be moving to Saturday 9/15. Sorry for the change!

If GHSA decides to bring back the Sectional, I'm guessing all meets will have to shift back a week from their regular position. Of course we'll have to wait and see. But I've reserved 10/13 and 10/20 for Coach Wood just in case.

Berry is going to be Sept. 8, spoke with Paul Deaton yesterday. He is actually going to be announcing the dates for the next three years of Clara Bowl races soon.

With the Class A State meet change and these new "Areas", my schedule is going to be turned upside down. Don't even know what to think....

The initial post above has been updated to reflect all the subsequent posts/comments, and I'll continue to update it based on new updates. So the initial post should serve as the "official" calendar until all this stuff starts getting added to the real calendar.

Just spoke to Paul and he said that he talked with Craig Musslewhite about the switch to 9/8, and Craig intends on having Carrollton Ortho on 9/15.

We've set the dates for the Pickens Preview and the Sharptop Invitational at Roper Park in Jasper, GA. The Preview will be August 25th, and the Sharptop Invitational will be October 13th. This will be the region course for 7-AAAA.

The Fall Classic at Sandy Creek High School looks to be Sept. 29th. Moved back a week from last year's third weekend in September date.

FYI: Gwinnett County Meet will probably be 9/22

Cobb County is planning on returning to the SAT date of October 6th. The meet will be run in the afternoon at the Cobb County Corps Property. More details to come.

Aubrae Gunderson Invite confirmed for September 29 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers.

Word is pretty solid from GHSA that the Class A races (private and public) will be held Nov 3rd, most likely in Macon with FPD acting as host. ga.milesplit.com/ They don't seem to be budging on the date despite concerns brought to them and are mostly hiding behind bureaucracy saying there isn't a meeting between now and next fall where that type of issue can be addressed. Very disappointing.

Is there any idea as to when GHSA will make the date and location of the Single A State Meet official?

As far as I know the date is set. Sat Nov 3rd. They are working with FPD to act as host. I believe they run meets at a site that is not on their campus. Since that seems to be pretty set we now are wanting to insure that the course is available for a meet sometime in the season and that it will be open for inspection the night before as well.

@tpee In the past they have hosted their meet at the Children's Home. It is a good course and nice venue for a meet. There has also been the Mercer - Macon meet at that course each year.

@goldeneaglexc I've been there, its a decent course, moderate, not very challenging. I know you run twice down a long.....downhill near the beginning of the loops. (unless its been altered)

Add the Peachtree Ridge/Walton Stage Races to the list for August 25th at River Green. Has already been added to the meet calendar page.

Anyone know yet when the 2012 Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational will be?
