Yea they are worth it, I love the victory's. I wear them during XC as well as track. I would not recommend them for the 200 and 400. I used them all last year and when i ran the 4X400 i felt like my feet were slipping and sliding around in the shoe. They have no side support at all, but when it comes down to it, personal taste determines all.
In my oppinion they are not worth it.....I have never actually tryed the spikes(but I have the running shoe..witch is ok but not no support)......but yea I don't think getting 1 second faster on ur mile is worth the 50 extra dollars...or in ur case .5 of a second difference....but if u just want them cause they look cool and they are popular then go for it.....but the its not the shoes that's running its u so don't expect a huge diffence in ur PR...
the spikes are way different than the shoes. and a lot better, i believe they are worth the money, because they will work for the range of distances you need
spikes are for people who like to run faster..... Makes since that less weight yeilds faster times doesn't it? The zoom victories are by far the lightest spikes on the market but i would not dip bellow a 400. However they do now have sprint spikes developed with the fly wire that are supposed to be outstanding.
victories are definitely worth the money...i love mine, its like running bare foot but with spikes they are so lite, they made my milers feel like bricks but i would not run the 400 and below in them, i ran 10x400 in them yesterday and that was a bad mistake.
