Nice race. Enjoyed video footage. Could see some rolling qualities to course. Is it considered to be a fast course by nature. Temps that day? Seen as good spectator course?

You can watch the start, walk 30-40 yards to the one mile mark , walk 20 yards to the two mile mark , then walk over about 100 yards to the finish!(run to the finish if you want to see McCleod/ Bowers finish)!

The past two years we have had warm temperatures. The course does have some rolling hills that keep you honest, but nothing that has a very steep grade. The downhills are at a good grade where the runners can really take advantage of the added momentum. The course is an out and back so any spot you pick you will see the runners twice.

The course is hard packed dirt and grass, and it ran pretty fast the last two years with many runners setting personal bests. I think this is more due to the atmosphere created and the competition on the course rather than it just being a fast course. This is the third meet held here so we should continue to see fast times as the competition continues to grow.

Hope the course stays in the same layout going forward so people can evaluate their results against prior years. I'm sure there were good reasons why the course has changed each year, but it would be cool if yall could find a layout that works and stick with it.

Unfortunately the land that held mile 2 was sold by the School system. We wanted to keep it the same, but could not. The rest of the land that the course was run on in owned by the City and will not be sold. So the course will remain the same for all races going forward.
