Although there isn't a lot of movement this week, things are tightening up. With the Flowery Branch girls improving weekly the top 3 are now in a virtual tie and seem to have distanced themselves from everyone else. Jones County appears in the top 10 for the first time. Big shake-up with the rankings this week. Some faster courses starting to work their way into the rankings picture. Things should become clearer over the next month as teams wind their way to Regionals. Things still appear wide-open after the top 2 spots with every team in the top 10 having a chance to podium at this point. (via MileSplit)
Warpath, Trinity/Valkryie, Fulton County, and Greyhound, 4A was busy on Saturday. 6 of the top 8 girls squads were at Warpath. The rankers were left with some fun calculations this week with very talented Blessed Trinity squads racing the rigor of Fulton Co the same week as the fast track at Warpath. (via MileSplit)
On the boys side, the state was divided as Marist and Pius were in Louisville with the big boys and North Oconee and Oconee really impressed at Warpath. (via MileSplit)
