Carrollton senior Jonathan Jones will be the first to admit he doesn't spend as much time as he should in track and field. That's because Jones is also one of the top cornerback prospect in the nation. After announcing he will play both sports for Auburn University, he says he can now focus on his senior season as a hurdler.

As outdoor track & field in the state of Georgia inches closer by the day, it is time to give the site a fresh coat of paint and a new name. Since joining the MileSplit Network seven years ago, this site has grown ever stronger and provided an unprecedented level and depth of coverage to track & field and cross country in this state. We have decided to embrace it and leverage the strong national brand by renaming the site officially to MileSplit GA.

Kendall Williams of Kell HS stretched her legs out enroute to winning the HJ at 5-10.75 and hurdled away in the 55h to the win clocking a 7.93p and 7.90 (US #1 Time) in the finals.    The Atlanta Track Club Foundation will be granting a $2,500 college scholarship to a Female Metro Atlanta HS Senior graduating in 2012. The scholarship is in memory of Patty Foell.
