  • Westlake Quad Meet Summary

             The Westlake Early Bird track meet got off to a great start.  The meet consisted of Redan, Tucker, Banneker, Woodland, and Westlake.  The highlights of the meet included the girls 4x100 relay which was won by Westlake girls.  The boys 4x100 relay was won by Redan boys with a time of 42.16.  Look out for Redans boys at the state meet because they will be a strong force during the year.  The boys 100 meters was won by Redan's Travis Benton with a time of 10.75.  Redan's Kennisha Holden highlighted the meet by winning the 400 and coming from 2nd place in the last two hurdles in the 300 meter hurdles to win the race beating out Shay Chandler of Westlake.   Banneker boys finished first and second place in the 400 meters.   Tucker High School Nolan Schneph dropped a fast 800 meter time to lead off the season with a 2:01.  In conclusion, the Westlake Early Bird Meet was a great meet and Coach Cage & Coach Wilson would like to thank Phil Logan and all the timers that helped out with the meet especially Coach Portis from Therrell High School.  See you all at the CHARACTER GAMES @ Westlake High School.  Times were HH.            by: Coach Jason Cage- Westlake

  • Mann's Kate Borowicz commits to Georgia Tech

    Mann senior Kate Borowicz has committed to Georgia Tech, her mother Jackie told scrunners.com Monday. Kate will join Northwestern alumna Mary Kate DuBard at the school. DuBard is currently a freshman.
