Woodland Wins 5A Girls Battle & Trapheagen Overall

As advertised, this race came down to the wire for the team title. Woodland prevailed over McIntosh by a mere 3 points in a thriller. The action was hot and heavy in positions 10-20. McKenna Trapheagen got things rolling for the Cats' dominating the race with a :40 margin of victory clocking a 19:07.

McIntosh was paced by Zoe Smith, as she was 4th overall posting a 19:48, with Kayla Rose 7th going 20:01. The lady Chiefs had a 1-5 split of :53.

Gabby Parsons
Frosh Gabby Parsons led Union Grove to 4th on the team Podium, leaning at the finish to claim overall runnerup honors in 19:47.03.

Mackenzie Walls (2724)
Mackenzie Walls from Veterans HS was right there with her, taking 3rd overall at 19:47.35. Elle Mezzio of Riverwood International finished 5th overall at 19:55 and Laney Doster from Jones County placed 6th posting a 19:59.

Starrs Mill took 3rd on the team podium with 116 points, placing 2 on the All-State squad including Megan Dobso in 8th (20:16) and Darby Olive 9th (20:18)
