Pope Boys Win Team Title, Jalen Murray Pulls Upset

Pope's boys ran up to expectations and won the team title with 51 points. The Hounds' had 3 runners place in the top 11 positions, including Will Brown taking 8th (16:54), KC Heron 10th (17:03) and Axel Mateo 11th (17:05)

Jalen Murray from Richmond Hill seized the Overall title going 15:58, as pulled a big upset over Cambridge's Jack Filan who was runneurup going 16:00.

A young Harrison squad rose to the occasion as they had a nice race finishing 2nd as a team. Sully Shelton led the way placing 4th overall at 16:33.


Defending champs Cambridge, had to settle for 3rd in the team standings led by Filan.

Lakeside Evans' placed 3 athletes on the All-State squad taking the final team Podium spot. Mark White led the trio taking 3rd (16:29), Sam Rich was 5th (16:40) and John-Isaac Autry 6th (16:46). Other runners earning 6A All-State honors are: Lance Sotelo of Dalton 7th (16:48) and Sean Rager of Alpharetta 9th (16:54)
