Parkview Boys and Marietta Girls Earn 7A Team Titles

Parkview takes 4x100 Gold

Parkview won their first team title dating back to 2009 at Berry Saturday. Justin Long was top Panther, as he won the 400m at 46.14, 200m going 21.23, ran on Parkview's winning 4x100 squad that clocked a 41.14 and anchored their 4x400 squad to Silver posting a 3:16.42.

Brian Hauch added a Silver in the PV clearing 16-0, Keith Williams took 4th in the 400m at 48.44, Charles Jordan placed 5th in the Shot at 51-10.5, Christian Corsello took 6th in the 1600 going 4:21. 

Murray taking Gold in the 7A Boys 110h

Westlake placed 2nd as a team and were led by juggernaut Cameron Murray as he won 3 Golds at Berry, taking the LJ Friday with a mark of 24-5. He swept the hurdles events, first going 13.88 in the 110h and later 37.63 in the 300h. Rainey Anderson also scored big in the hurdles events, he won Silver in the 110h posting a 14.10, and 5th in the 300h.  The Lions also won a bronze in the 4x100

James Cragin of Archer

Archer took 3rd in the team standings led Saturday by their 4x100 squad's 2nd place effort of 41.52 and Sterling Warner's bronze in the 100m (10.58) and 4th in the 200m (21.78) James Cragin won  a pair of bronzes in the 3200 (9:20) and 1600m (4:17.57) 

Harkabus completes his 1600/800 double.

East Coweta picked up 20 points from Kyle Harkabus as he won the 1600m in 4:13.35 and 800m on Saturday at 1:52.44. 
7A Girls

Marietta may not have won a Gold medal in any running event, but scored alot of Silver medals. Karena Grigenas won their only Gold taking the Discus at 130-10. Josie Konigsmark  scored silver in the PV at 11-06. On saturday, Sterling Lester was 2nd in the 400 at 53.18 and later a Silver in the 200m at 23.84 (she was 3rd in the HJ at 5-4). Ani Henderson was key, adding a Silver in the 800m at 2:13.52 and capped off their day taking 2nd in a torrid 4x400 race posting a 3:45.13 (the 4x100 squad placed 4th)  Big distance points were scored by Elle Hall taking 2nd in the 3200 (10:51) and 4th in the 1600 (5:01.64) Henderson was also key placing 3rd in the 1600 (5:00.92) 

Kennedy Simon of Westlake (lane 5) takes the 7A Girls 200m

Westlake was a strong 2nd teamwise, 10.5 points behind the Blue Devils. The Lady Lions began the day with a bang scoring 16 points in the 4x100. The 'A' squad earned Gold going 45.79 and 'B' squad took 3rd at 46.87. Kennedy Simon had a outstanding day, sweeping Golds in the 400m (52.52) and later the 200m (23.78)- she also took bronze in the LJ with a mark of 18-9.50. Tai Brown raced to 3rd in the 800 (2:14.83) Kennedy Price placed 4th in the 100m & 6th in the 200. Westlake ended their day taking 1st at 3:44.28 in a great 4x400 race. 

Campbell and McEachern fought it out till the last strides of the 4x400, with Campbell edging the Indians by 1.54 seconds to clinch 3rd on the team Podium. Kylan Rice took silver in the 300h at 42.70. On friday they picked up 14 points in TJ behind Rachel Robertson's 2nd at 39-06 and Jada Alston's 3rd at 38-08.

McEachern was led by Victoria Agyin's Gold in the TJ with a mark of 40-06. On Saturday, Nilaja Florence won Gold in the 300h at 42.53, the 4x100 squad placed 2nd at 46.02, Rayna White took 2nd in the 100h going 14.22, Tamiya Roberts earned bronze in 400m (55.46) and later 4th in the 200m. The 4x400 squad ended the day taking 4th.
